Having a night out in Münster

With a total of over 1000 bars, restaurants, cafés and clubs, Münster offers a nightlife that can hardly be described in terms of diversity. Particularly noteworthy, however, are the harbour and the cow district, where the density of pubs is the highest.

Jovel Music Hall

Since 2008, the Jovel in Münster has been located on Albersloher Weg opposite the Halle Münsterland. The listed industrial complex, which was once used for wagon construction and later as a car factory, is now home to the new Jovel after its conversion. Next to the Jovel Music Hall, there is the Jovel Club and the Jovel Lounge. The Music Hall, the centrepiece, regularly hosts large concert and disco events.

Hawerkamp

On the site of a former construction company on Hawerkamp, you will now find a colourful mix of exhibition spaces, clubs and much more. The Hawerkamp has been making history as a cultural location for 25 years. Art exhibitions, concerts, club festivals, art courses, legendary crossover events, concerts in screwdriver workshops, theatre in the old factory hall and festivals on the open-air grounds attract thousands of visitors.

Hafen – Kreativkai

With the restructuring of Münster’s harbour area, an urban quarter with a colourful mix of culture, services and leisure – the “Kreativkai” – was created in the direct vicinity of the city centre. Numerous bars, cafés, pubs and restaurants have found their place here in new buildings and old warehouses directly on the waterfront and captivate with a special flair.

Kuhviertel

The Kuhviertel, a traditional entertainment district, is a lively mix of student pubs and cosy, typically Westphalian historic pubs and restaurants. The old brewery and restaurant Pinkus Müller is surrounded by well-known academic beer houses such as the Carvete (the oldest student pub) and the Blaue Haus.

Cineplex

The state-of-the-art Cineplex and the traditional Schloßtheater are managed by the Münster Filmtheater-Betriebe. The Cineplex has more than 2700 seats in 9 cinemas, is fully air-conditioned and equipped with the latest 2D/3D picture and Dolby Digital sound technology, making a visit to the cinema a unique experience.
